Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear? Is there a dress code?
It’s a cocktail attire kind of occasion, but we’ll take you however we can get you.
What time should I arrive?
The ceremony will begin promptly at 6 o’clock in the evening. We recommend that you arrive a half hour before we start so you have time to say a few hellos before settling in.
Where should I park? Is parking free?
Parking is free at both the ceremony and reception locations. The chapel parking lot is to the west of the building. The reception venue has a parking lot across the street to the southwest. Both lots are marked.
Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
They will both be indoors. The reception venue does have a patio area outside if you need a breather from all the dancing and celebrating.
What happens after the ceremony?
The wedding party and immediate family will hang around the chapel for some photos. Guests will make their way to the reception venue to enjoy cocktails, snacks, and games before dinner is served.
Are kids welcome?
While we love your little ones, our wedding is an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements to be able to celebrate with us without the kiddos.
Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?
We have not reserved a hotel block for this event. More information on nearby hotels can be found on the Out-of-Towners page.
When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?
The RSVP deadline is September 18th. In lieu of mailing back RSVPs we have chosen to move it online for your convenience. Please RSVP at the link below.
RSVP Form - Please Respond by September 18th
Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?
Of course! We’ll have snacks available during the cocktail hour and tacos (and some other delicious fare) for dinner. Vegetarian and vegan options will be available.
Are you registered?
We did register at a few places and links can be found on the Registry page. Please know that you do not need to buy us anything. The love and joy you bring to our lives are more than we could ask for and celebrating with us is plenty.
Will transportation be provided from the chapel to the reception?
We will not be providing transportation to the reception from the chapel. If you are unable to carpool with someone driving, an Uber/Lyft will cost around $10.
Can I take pictures?
We kindly request an unplugged ceremony. Please keep your phones and cameras off while in the chapel and enjoy being fully present in this time with us. We have found an amazing photographer and we’ll be happy to share those photos with you. We want to see your beautiful faces, not your devices.
I have additional questions, what is the best way to contact you?
If you can’t find the information here, please email happilyeveralvarez032020@gmail.com and we’ll be sure to get back to you.
